A well known compere and stand up veteran at gigs like Big Night Out, Stand and Deliver, GSOH, Purple Cactus, Bound and Gagged, Jim Grant’s gigged all across the UK including The Comedy Junction, The Rib Tickla, Mirth Control, Komedia, Royal Stratford Theatre, and headlined several top comedy bills including Bedford (having won several of their new act competitions) or Pear Shaped, Upstairs at Queens Head, Dropping the Soap and Electric Mouse.

Years of experience successfully running and compering several comedy clubs have honed Jim’s audience skills to great effect and he has seen and compered every conceivable audience from the east end of London, to northern working men’s clubs, and black tie formal dinners. He has even performed a gig on a metal platform, suspended above a shark tank when he compered the Brighton Fringe Festival opening gala in 2005.

Karl has organised comedy gigs around London to share his favourite performers for demanding audiences. Karl combines compering with a busy schedule of appearing in gigs Nationwide & Scotland.

An Edinburgh Festival regular whose shows have included “About As Funny As It Gets” and “Hari Krisha and The Philosopher’s Stoned” over recent years, Karl’s events and stand up draws on his extensive experience of and connections from all across the circuit.
