Dave Gibson
"Manages that rare feat of making you
laugh and cringe at the same time...painfully funny..." David Edwards, Daily
Mirror
"Crazy fun" Dave Calhoun, Time

An esteemed stand-up comic and comedy
writer/director, Dave Gibsons comedy moves seamlessly from winding family
stories, delivered with all the uncomfortable physicality of an embarrassed
child:- "We were in our church hall playing a charity game of Family Fortunes.
'We surveyed 100 people. Give us a reason why you might wear a hat?' Barely
seconds had passed before my Mum shouted out, 'Cancer'!" ...to effortlessly
clever wordplay:- "I'm currently dating a couple of anorexics. Two birds, one
stone!"
A finalist at the Big Big New Act of the
Year comp, Dave has appeared at the renowned Spank shows in the Edinburgh fest,
and his writing/directing credits include award winning short films such as
"Late Night Phone In", "Beat the Papers" and daily Podcasts for the BFI London
Film Festival. His most recent short is currently screening at opening night
Gala of the Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival. |

Carl Donnelly
"The reason why Donnelly is one of the
highest-rated emerging stars on the UK circuit is his incredible ability to
turn the seemingly mundane existence of the 21st-century slacker into gripping,
unmissable stand-up. In Donnelly's hands, something as simple as getting out of
bed can be the springboard to a hilarious anecdote" The
Guardian
"..by staying true to his daft self, has
as much honesty as a hard hitting political comic" Chortle

Carl started performing stand-up
regularly in 2005 and quickly established himself as one of the most exciting
new comics climbing the comedy ladder. Despite being a relative newcomer, his
conversational style and silly sense of humour have seen him win a host of
awards and become a regular act and MC at clubs all over the country (and the
world having also performed in Singapore, The Netherlands and France among
others!).
He has won numerous awards and
competitions including being a 'Best Breakthrough Act' Nominee at the 2009
Chortle Awards, the Winner of Best Newcomer at the 2007 Chortle
